This application is targeted principally for people with chronic condition to cope up with and/or allergy from certain foods. May be "cuisine" option should be in a separate page (it looks a bit "squeezed" through)
Next, we need to know what chronic condition user is struggling with. The selection here should be "data-driven". Will start with some most obvious ones (FDA data sources ?)
After this our magic algorithm should prepare some "healthy recipes" personalised for the user and also some recommended (more user on our platform should make this more accurate) diet-challenges which other people with similar condition(s) had success with -
These diet-challenges will be curated by our expert dietitian, health-coaches and nutritionists. Once you choose to "Follow" a diet-challenge, this will be part of your daily life and BeyondCalories will do everything in order to keep you right on track.
For "Pro" members, once you "Follow" a diet-challenge, you can add all the required ingredients for a week into a shopping list. Also, as a "Pro" member, you are entitled to a free initial chat session with the author of the diet-challenge. Subsequently 3 sessions are free, and you need to pay for any more consultations.
Once you are committed to a diet-challenge, home screen will show your overall wellness (it's a combined status of mood + nutrition + supplement/pill + activity) level. It will also show you, today's portion of the diet-challenge and will also throw "push" notifications at appropriate time. After each day's progress, certain credit points will be given to you and this shows how committed are you while discussing with other BeyondCalories users. Also, if you want to try something different, go for "Healthy Recipes" section, which list out some healthy delicious recipes personalized to your condition, allergies and dietary preferences.
Journal section will help you to visualise your overall health status. For "Activity Level", BeyondCalories can connect to Fitbit account, if you have one.
The "+" button at top-right, will help you to log health data like - Food, Pill, blood-work (stretch goal for now). For iPhone users only, there is a proposal to connect to Apple Health via HealthKit.
"Weekly" view of the Journal should display relevant trends in overall wellness. For nutrition, this will also show your detailed "micro", beyond just calories and "macro" (Protein , Fat, Carbs)
